SBS On Demand contributed 28.6% of total TV viewing for the Tour de France and 19.7% for the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.

SBS Sport's coverage featured commentary from Cadel Evans, Australia's only Tour de France winner, along with cycling stars Caleb Ewan and Grace Brown, as Tadej Pogacar claimed his fifth Tour de France and Demi Vollering won her second Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.

Ken Shipp, SBS director of sport, said the network's audiences had responded strongly to its global sport coverage over the past two months.

"SBS has provided a feast of global sport to all Australians over the last two months, and we're delighted that our audience has responded in huge numbers, both for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the world's greatest cycling races,” said Shipp.

"Broadcasting the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is an exceptionally complicated labour of love for our dedicated SBS team, both on camera and behind the scenes, and once again they have taken fans on a magnificent month-long journey, following the world's best cyclists through the stunning landscapes of Europe and providing unique insight to the riders and the race.”

SBS's coverage of cycling's final Grand Tour of the year, La Vuelta a Espana, starts on August 23 on SBS2 and SBS On Demand.
