MediaCom appoints Group planner

MELBOURNE: MediaCom's Melbourne office has appointed Wayne Philbert to the role of group director, client communications planning. Philbert has relocated with his family from MediaCom's London office where he was a director. He was listed by UK magazine Campaign as one of the top ten international players by peer review and has spent 18 years in the media business on both the owner and agency side.  
And Mediacom has continued its hiring streak, also adding Gideon Hornung and Fiona Meldrum as strategy managers, based out of Melbourne. 
Hornung is a consumer strategist who previously worked for Coles Group in market and consumer insight and has skills in consumer and shopper research, strategic planning, and trend analysis. Meldrum joins from brand consultancy Sparkler London, where her work as senior consultant saw her running strategic consultancy projects for BBC, MTV and Cadbury across brand strategy, brand development, content development and digital products.

These appointments follow the hiring’s of Gemma Newland as Head of MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA), James Sneddon, Group Director CCP, Nic Hodges, Head of Innovation and Technology and James Ledger as Joint Head of Client Communications Planning.

MELBOURNE: MediaCom has appointed Wayne Philbert as group director of client communications planning based in Melbourne, as its recruitment drive continues.

Philbert has relocated with his family from MediaCom's London office where he was a director and has 18 years experience in the media business on both the owner and agency side.  

MediaCom Melbourne has also appointed Gideon Hornung and Fiona Meldrum as strategy managers.

Hornung is a consumer strategist who previously worked in market and consumer insight for Coles Group, while Meldrum joins from brand consultancy Sparkler London, where she was a senior consultant.
