Media regulation scrapped?
Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull will be meeting with the country’s top media chief executives this week to discuss dumping the country's regulation of the media industry, The Australia Financial Review reports. 

Lewis to join Acquire
Also in The AFR, Former Southern Cross Media Group chief financial officer Peter Lewis is likely to join former AFL boss Andrew Demetriou on the leadership team of education business Acquire Learning. This comes after the news that Lewis resigned from the media company just one month into the role.

Telstra tackles sport
In a push to get consumers using its premium sports assets, Telstra intends to roll-out a new multi-screen connected stadium strategy, which would see the telco mirror a deal between US telco Verizon and the NFL where American football fans can download content and order food and drink from their seats using state-of-the-art WiFi networks, The Australian reports.

Nova Entertainment is taking it's live music offering the Red Room on tour, with Australian and international artists staging four shows in seven days, The Australian reports. Several sponsors have signed on to support the group including Optus, Qantas, Marquee Nightclubs, and Sony Music Australia.

Shop to be dropped?
The Australian's media diary reports that since the announcement that Shop til you Drop magazine, published by Bauer, would become a digital offering with a quarterly print product to support it, there is now talk the the magazine may close altogether. Also reported by the dairy is that the publisher could drop its Women’s Fitness licence, and instead turn Cleo into Cleo Fitness.
