Kathryn Furnari joined Innocean in November 2023 before being appointed head of media in January 2024.
Kathryn Furnari has left Innocean Australia less than a year after heading the launch of its media buying and planning division.
Furnari joined the agency in November 2023 before being appointed head of media in January 2024, leading the media unit’s foundation client wins including Hyundai Australia, Geotab and Sandhurst Fine Foods.
Furnari cited a company restructure as the reason for her departure.
“My time at Innocean has come to an unexpected end due to restructures and I've taken the last few weeks to reflect on what I've learnt and what is important to me in a role: purpose, people and culture,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
“I'm proud of the work I did and the relationships I built, and I'm walking away with clarity about the kind of work and the team I want to be part of.”
Innocean Australia CEO, Jasmine Bedir, said more details regarding the company restructuring will be announced soon.
"We added media to our offering to truly deliver integrated solutions to marketing problems,” Bedir said.
“Merging world class creative thinking with world class media strategic thinking and execution requires a unique leadership set up, which we will be able to share more of in the coming weeks.
“In the meantime, we would like to thank Kathryn for her service and her work with us over the past year.”
Furnari’s previous experience before joining Innocean Australia included senior leadership roles such as group business director for PHD Media, general manager at Initiative and account director at Zenith.
