Last night's episode of Love Island Australia revealed the newest contestant to join the show, Brand Collective marketing executive Francoise Draschler.

Working in the marketing team for the Melbourne-based fashion company, which distributes brands such as Superdry, Volley and Elwood, Francoise became the second late entrant to the show.

Following Sunday night's first recoupling ceremony, last night's episode continued the fallout from the contestants' decisions to either stay with or choose new partners, drawing in an audience of 162,000 viewers on multichannel 9Go!

The Australian version of the hit English reality show launched last week on Nine multichannel 9Go! and has averaged more than 200,000 people nationally, with the audience in the key demographic of 16-39s, up 84% week-on-week.

As of last night, episode one to five hold OzTam VPM ratings above 100,000.

Over on the main channels, MasterChef returned to the top spot overnight, winning in all key demographics and drawing in an audience of 850,000.

Seven's House Rules dropped back down to second place, drawing an audience of 786,000 viewers.

The show was unable to continue its momentum from Sunday night, which generated its highest ratings to date and win in the ratings race against both MasterChef and The Voice.

Nine's rebooted celebrity game show Talkin Bout Your Generation, airing in the primetime slot, drew an audience of 653,000 viewers.

In contrast, Ten's own celebrity game show Have You Been Paying Attention?, which airs in a later timeslot, continued to rate well with an overnight audience of 753,000 viewers.

Despite the solid primetime and evening ratings, Ten was unable to win in the overnight main channel share battle, with Seven taking the top spot with a 18.4% share.
