James Collier has been promoted to chief data officer at M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ.

The newly created role focuses on consolidating and expanding the group’s data and analytics capability and building a marketing sciences practice to support the business’ long-term growth strategy.

"I’m thrilled to be stepping up and taking broader ownership of data and analytics across the group," Collier says.

"Justin’s vision and long-term commitment to reshape marketing has established an opportunity to break new ground.

"Central to our shared ambition will be the unique union of creativity and quantification, an alchemy of art and science designed to support the quantified CMO and magnify the impact of brilliant creative work.”

Collier will retain his current role of partner and head of performance at Bohemia Group, with his new position expanding his responsibilities beyond media to support all group agencies.

"James’ appointment brings a strategic edge to the M&C Saatchi Group - having already demonstrated his ability to blend business and customer analytics with provocative thinking like no other, I’m excited to see what the future holds for him as our new CDO,’’ M&C Saatchi AUNZ group CEO Justin Graham says.

Collier is set to speak at the AdNews Live Sydney event, 2022: Life After Cookies. Find out more on the event here.
