News Australia has appointed Marie Joyce to the newly created role of general manager of its content marketing agency Suddenly.

Joyce will lead the agency's strategic direction and growth initiatives, overseeing client relationships and driving content solutions across Suddenly's portfolio of clients including Chemist Warehouse, Youi, The Good Guys and Westpac.

"Suddenly has had an exceptional year building momentum in the market, with existing clients expanding their partnerships and new clients recognising the value and power of brand content," said News Corp Australia managing director, commercial content, Mike Connaghan.

"Marie is an outstanding leader and her vision and expertise will be instrumental in capitalising on this growing demand and taking Suddenly to the next level."

Joyce brings more than 15 years of experience in content marketing, commercial strategy and media to the role. She has spent the past four years at Mamamia, most recently as national sales director, and has also worked at Nova Entertainment, Bauer Media Group and ACP Magazines.

"I'm passionate about solving client problems through creativity, data-led insights and compelling storytelling. Suddenly has a well-earned reputation for delivering content that deeply resonates with audiences and drives results," Joyce said.

"I'm excited to build on that success alongside such a talented team."

Suddenly provides content creation, production services, audience development strategy and consumer insights. The agency is part of News Australia's suite of commercial content brands, which also includes Medium Rare, Storyation and Visual Domain.

Joyce begins her new role next month and will be based in Melbourne.
