Creative agency Loud has continued adding to its ranks following a recent company restructure.

Christian Kernot has joined the agency as associate creative director joining from Y&R Group's specialist agency Blaze, where he was a senior copywriter. He has more than 13 years' experience in the industry including roles at M&C Saatchi and Ideaworks.

He will be working under newly appointed executive creative director and partner Steven Thomson.

“It's great to have a talent such as Christian on board,” Thomson said. “As well as being a writer's writer, he’s also one of the funniest people I know.”

In addition, Loud has hired Award School and UTS graduate Kiah Barker who recently finished a three month internship with the agency.

These latest appointments follow a company restructure which has included the appointments of Thomson himself and Gerry Cyron as department heads and the announcement of Paul Bennell as creative director.
