By AdNews | 8 July 2021

Know someone who embodies the future of leadership in adland?

With retaining high-achieving talent becoming the number one conversation in the industry, it has never been more important to champion your superstars. Now is your chance to recognise those team members who you think are destined to have a future at the top.

Entries are now open for AdNews’ prestigious Top 20 Emerging Leaders of 2021.

The Top 20 list will be revealed in the September/October issue and online with the winner to be announced at the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards on 28 October, 2021.

The winner will receive a year’s subscription to AdNews, two tickets to an AdNews Live event and an executive coaching program of six coaching sessions from The Transition Coach, with an opportunity to work on their professional goals and leadership development.

“Emerging leaders have an awareness of how their values and beliefs influence their leadership, but also importantly, how these guide the causes they champion outside of their day to day role," says Andrew Sherman, founder of The Transition Coach.

Andrew Sherman is the founder of The Transition Coach and is an International Coaching Federation PCC accredited executive coach.

The Transition Coach helps leaders successfully navigate professional transitions to thrive at work. Whether it is navigating a transition in leadership approach, providing support moving into a new leadership role or changing career direction, Sherman combines an evidence-based approach to coaching, with the benefit of practical leadership experience.

Sherman is also a developmental coach for Sparro, Australia’s largest independent digital performance agency; and a founding coach for Huddle, which helps senior leaders gain clarity and stand out as they transition into a new role or change career direction.

Earlier in the year, AdNews celebrated the Top 20 Emerging Leaders of 2020 with rosé, champagne and canapes served well into the evening.

PHD Sydney head of strategy Mitchell Long, who was crowned the overall winner, joined a host of impressive finalists in sharing career advice with AdNews publisher Assia Benmedjdoub.

"Receiving any acknowledgment is cause to reflect. I’m truly humbled and grateful for the support of everyone around me at PHD and beyond who empower me to be the best version of myself," Long says on receiving the accolade.

"If leading is simply about treating others how you would like to be treated, having empathy for others, and being yourself, then I am surrounded by people that reinforce that example for me every day."

Entries for the program will close at 4pm on Wednesday 28 July, 2021. Don’t miss out on nominating your Emerging Leaders.
