Nextmedia has sold children's magazine brands K-Zone and Total Girl to Nuclear Media, a specialist publisher focused on youth and entertainment content.
Commercial details haven’t been revealed.
Nuclear Media plans to invest in refreshed editorial, digital extensions and audience-building initiatives.
"These are beloved and enduring brands with a special connection to young Australians," Nuclear Media CEO Michael Downs said.
"We see enormous potential to evolve the titles while honouring what readers love most: fun, creativity and authentic youth-driven storytelling."
nextmedia CEO Arek Widawski said K-Zone and Total Girl had been an important part of nextmedia's history and this move is another step in refining the portfolio and strengthening a focus on subscription-driven and B2B growth.
Nuclear Media publishes consumer titles including KRASH, It GiRL, FHM, Women's Fitness, Harmony of Colour, What Doctors Don't Tell You.
nextmedia publishes Healthy Food Guide, ABC Gardening Australia magazine, Golf Australia, ABC Cricket, Prevention Australia, Australian Muscle Car, techpartner.news, iTnews and frankie.
