Junior MasterChef finale attracts more than 800,000 metro viewers

The final episode of Junior MasterChef Australia attracted more than 800,000 metro viewers, making it the most watched entertainment program for the night.

The season, which returned to air after nine years, followed the successful season of MasterChef Australia earlier this year. Both series featured first-time judges Jock Zonfrillo, Melissa Leong and Andy Allen.

Last night’s episode aired in two parts with the Winner Announced segment pulling in 881,000 metro viewers overnight, according to OzTam numbers. The segment pulled in another 275,000 viewers, for a national audience of 1.157 million viewers.

The Grand Finale segment pulled in 652,000 metro viewers, with another 208,000 regional viewers tuning in, taking its national audience to 859,000 viewers.

The Winner Announced segment attracted 357,000 metro viewers in the 18-49 demographic, while the Grand Finale segment attracted 254,000.

For 25-54 year-olds, the Winner Announced attracted 385,000 metro viewers.

Also last night, Nine’s The Block pulled in 805,000 metro viewers, and another 300,000 regional viewers for a national audience of 1.105 million viewers. The renovation show attracted 327,00 metro viewers in the 18-49 age group, and 380,000 in the 25-54 age group.

Meanwhile, ABC’s Four Corners, which featured an investigation into Attorney-General Christian Porter’s inappropriate behaviour towards women, attracted 824,000 metro viewers, and another 352,000 regional viewers.
