Electric vehicle charging network and digital out-of-home advertising company JOLT is benefiting from surging fuel costs in the wake of the Middle East war.
The new media player said it had its strongest month for new customer registrations in March, with sign-ups up 54.5% month-on-month for new EV charging accounts.
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries and Electric Vehicle Council found EV sales jumped 88.9% year-on-year, with one in seven vehicles sold in Australia throughout March being battery-electric for the first time.
JOLT’s model combines DOOH display with EV charging, allowing brands to reach consumers at key, high-traffic moments in their daily journeys.
CEO, Doug McNamee, said the latest numbers reflect a market that had decisively turned a corner.
“More Australians than ever are going electric, and the shift is gaining momentum,” he said.
