Former Optus and Seven West Media executive Jack Lonergan will be joining international tech advisory, venture and creative company Meliora as a partner from February.

Lonergan brings more than 15 years of product development and user experience leadership from senior roles at Optus, Seven West Media and Southern Cross Austereo, where he conceived, built and scaled digital products and platforms.

During his time at Seven West Media, Lonergan spearheaded significant digital product development and design projects including launching 7plus BVOD streaming and sporting events such as The Australian Open and both Summer and Winter Olympic Games.

At Southern Cross Austereo he pioneered RadioApp now the radio industry aggregator operated by the CRA and set the strategy for SCA's unified digital audio platform that helped create Listnr.

"His vast experience in building innovative, user-focused digital products complements our mission perfectly," Meliora managing partner Clive Dickens said.

"Jack and I have had a long successful history of working together and I've seen how his leadership transforms businesses."

Lonergan said he is very excited to work alongside Dickens again in this next chapter.

"Meliora's mission of the pursuit of better through human-centred technology and innovation resonates deeply with my own values," he said.

"That the future of product development lies in the thoughtful fusion of human insight and artificial intelligence and is now not only achievable, but essential, making this moment in history the most powerful opportunity to bring that vision to life."
