The ASX-listed diversified marketing company IVE Group is marking 105 years, tracing its origins to 1921 when Oscar Selig founded The Link, a community newspaper serving Sydney's inner west.
The company has grown into a multi-disciplinary business spanning creative and content, CX and data, retail activations, packaging, print, eCommerce, fulfilment and distribution, working with more than 2,800 clients across Australia and New Zealand and employing more than 2,000 people.
Key milestones include the 2014 acquisition of commercial printing and point-of-sale business STI Lilyfield, which generated about $12 million in annual revenue at the time and has grown to about $140 million.
The company's print management and PWO facility businesses each generate about $120 million annually. Its logistics and fulfilment network has grown from a 2,000sqm warehouse in Silverwater in 2001 to 80,000 sqm of national warehousing capacity.
To mark the milestone, IVE has launched 105ive, a month-long anniversary program featuring a heritage video, a content series on defining moments in the company's history, thought leadership on the future of marketing and recognition of long-serving employees.
Matt Aitken, managing director of IVE Group, said few Australian businesses reached 105 years and fewer still remained relevant through every major shift in technology, media and customer behaviour.
"Our history has been shaped by a willingness to adapt. From newspapers and commercial print through to today's connected marketing environment, we've continued to evolve in response to what clients need most," he said.
"While the tools and channels have changed dramatically over the past century, the need for brands to build meaningful connections with people remains constant. That's as true today as it was in 1921."
