Media and performance agency Intender has reshaped its leadership team and opened a Melbourne office, following an account win with AMES Australasia.

Co-founder and CFO Morgan Ohren has been promoted to managing director, while head of operations Zoe Young becomes general manager.

Founder Phil Ohren, previously listed as founder and strategist, now formally takes on the CEO role.

The restructure follows a period of growth for the Noosa-based agency, which has picked up work across AMES’ suite of home improvement brands, including Hills, Cyclone, Nylex and Northcote Pottery.

Phil Ohren said growing demand for Intender’s integrated approach to media, data and creativity prompted the Melbourne move.

“This is an exciting milestone for Intender,” he said.

“Our growth has been fuelled by clients who believe in our vision, and this leadership structure sets us up to scale with even greater impact.

“With Morgan and Zoe in these new roles, we’re building a stronger, more focused agency for the future.”

Under the changes, Morgan Ohren takes on wider responsibility for HR, risk and business stability, while Young will oversee operations with a focus on culture, performance and efficiency.

“Intender has always been a people-first business,” Ohren said.

“Getting our leadership structure right, with clear responsibilities and complementary skills, means we can collaborate more effectively and play to our strengths.

“Together, we’re focused on building the foundations that will keep Intender resilient and thriving as we grow.”

Young said her focus would be on building a culture that inspires high performance.

“When our team feels supported and empowered, we create the kind of work that makes a real difference for clients,” she said.

The agency says it will continue to build on its mission to “make advertising useful, not annoying” through data-led, audience-first strategies.
