Camille Gray, sometime columnist and poet for AdNews, is leaving her role as strategy director at Initiative.

She has landed a job at Droga in  New York.

"After 6.5 years, I’m saying a (very difficult) good-bye to Initiative," she wrote on LinkedIn.

"I have chronically procrastinated writing this post as it is near impossible to summarise how transformative my time at Ini was.

"Being part of a growth journey like Initiative's showed me the ingredients of a truly successful agency. It demands both fearless and vulnerable leadership (Melissa Fein), it demands an unstoppable energiser committed to building a diverse and driven team (Sam Geer), it demands a brilliant strategic powerhouse who isn’t afraid to agitate the industry (Chris Colter) and it demands a nurturing of talent with unmatched empathy (Jo McAlister).

"An agency is built on people who care, and this team did exactly that. There are far too many people to thank (inclusive of media partners, agency villages, clients) and far too many who gave me so much of their time. You know who you are, and you know I will always welcome a meme in the dms."
