The newly formed Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA) has created a free webinar series for its members on the financial and legal complexities created by the COVID-19 crisis.

Chairman Dominic Pearman says the agencies, as small to medium sized businesses, have been impacted by the rapidly evolving crisis.

"It’s a very important time to come together and be part of our community," he says.

"We are all facing similar challenges during this period and we’re here to provide support and guidance."

He says media owner supporters are also providing a range of resources, insights and practical tools for media agency owners, including R support,  from home tool kits and market insights.

"We have a resilient and vibrant independent media agency sector and we want to ensure we all survive and thrive in the future," he says.

The first webinar is on April 1 and features Marc Walsh, principal client advisor at Altus Financial. He will break down the federal government’s $66 billion stimulus package.

IMAA launched last month with 20 founding members and widespread support from publishers including television, radio, print and digital.
