The Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA) hosted its third annual IMAA Awards for Media Partners, recognising 45 media companies from across Australia.

In attendance was close to 200 independent media agency leaders and media partners.

Out-of-home advertising company, QMS, took home the award for partner of the year.

The company was scored across six criteria categories including: service and relationships, ideas and proactivity, value proposition, data and insights, and innovation and effectiveness.

They also took home the effectiveness category.

Partner of the year awards by channel went to Nine for TV, oOh! for out-of-home, Nova Entertainment for audio and News Australia for publishing and news and digital.

Partner of the Year Awards by category went to  SCA for service and relationships, Nova Entertainment and Val Morgan Cinema - who were equal winners in the ideas and proactivity category, GoTransit Media Group for value proposition, ATN for data and insights, Vistar Media for innovation and QMS for effectiveness.

The media owners were judged by representatives from 168 independent media agencies.

And results reflected findings from IMAA’s annual Pulse Survey, which surveyed 800 people from IMAA member agencies for feedback on media organisations across the core criteria categories.

IMAA CEO Sam Buchanan recognised the support and contribution of media owners to the independent media agency industry.

“Our media partners have been the backbone of our organisation since its inception, proudly supporting our efforts to celebrate and advocate for the national independent media agency sector,” he said.
