McCann has appointed Tony Prysten, former creative director and co-founder of digital agency Igloo, to the role of digital director of its Melbourne office.

Prysten started Igloo in 1994 and oversaw the company's growth, until it was merged with MCM Media in June this year, and rebranded as Authentic Entertainment.

During his time at the company Prysten was responsible for clients including Mazda Australia, Cricket Australia and the Red Cross Blood Service.

In his new role at McCann he will be responsible for driving the digital direction across the McCann client base which includes L'Oreal, The Federal Government, Bendigo Bank, Metro Trains, Lion Foods and Tigerair.

McCann Melbourne managing director Adrian Mills said: “We’ve been quietly putting in place a team of first-class talent to support the ambitions of our growing client base. In Tony, we have a genuine digital leader and Melbourne agency legend. We feel privileged that he’s chosen to work with us.”

It follows the recent appointment of David Ponce de León as creative director, joining from a role as creative director of BD Network.
