How a commercial re-launched Betty White's career

Actress Betty White, who died at age 99 on Friday, December 31, had a commercial to thank for reinvigorating her career in later years.

Her 2010 Snickers Super Bowl, playing a football player who can’t get going, demonstrated why the actress was loved.

That introduced her to new generations, other than those who loved her for the The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls.

After that she hosted Saturday Night Live and then won an Emmy, her seventh, for Hot in Cleveland.

One fan described her as “a wickedly funny, beautiful, compassionate, talented woman”.
