Hardie Grant Media’s creative content agency Heads & Tales has acquired boutique design agency Holy Cow! Creative, expanding its Sydney presence and adding specialist capabilities in health, wellbeing and retail.

Commercial details haven’t been released.

Holy Cow! was founded in 1995 by Melissa Webber and counts Galderma, Candela, St Vincent's Health Australia, NSW Health and Supa Centa Moore Park among its clients.

"Melissa has built an incredible agency that has delivered high-quality creative services for over 30 years," said Rod Mooseek, managing director of Heads & Tales.

"It's a reputation and pedigree that we're proud to welcome into Heads & Tales and fuse their brand of purpose-led, conscious creativity with Heads & Tales' smart storytelling approach."

Webber will continue to lead Holy Cow! as managing director, with clients retaining their existing team while gaining access to the broader Heads & Tales and Hardie Grant Media network.

"As a passionate designer, I was immediately attracted to the breadth of services Heads & Tales offers — across content marketing, digital, social and custom publishing," Webber said.

"Culture was another driver. From the get-go, I've been driven by a desire to create a great culture in my agency, and I believe I've achieved that.

“Rod and I are very aligned, and I'm confident this will be a strong partnership — both creatively and culturally."

The acquisition brings Hardie Grant Media to 135 staff across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The group's agencies include Reload Media, Tide Communications, Keep Left and Sherpa.

The deal follows Hardie Grant Media's acquisition of creative communications agency Keep Left in August 2025 and the appointment of Janey Martino and Shirley Chowdhary to the Hardie Grant board last month.
