Havas Red has appointed social strategist Joanne Ng as executive director, social, leading its national social media and influencer practice.

Ng joined Havas Red in 2021 and has worked across its client portfolio. She will oversee social strategy, influencer marketing, creator partnerships and content teams in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

She will continue to lead the social remit for Toyota Motor Corporation Australia.

She replaces Stuart Hood, who is moving into a contracting role.

Ng said her focus would be on using social intelligence to inform communications strategy and building stronger influencer and creator partnerships.

"My vision is to continue evolving Havas Red's social offering beyond content creation and channel management, building a practice where social intelligence informs communications strategy, influencer and creator partnerships drive credibility, and content creates meaningful audience engagement,” Ng said.

“While technologies and platforms will continue to evolve, the brands that succeed will be those that combine innovation with genuine human insight and cultural relevance.”
