Havas Red has appointed Erin Sing as executive director for its Melbourne office.

Sing will drive growth for the Melbourne team and strengthen the agency's national offering across PR, social, influencer, content, digital and experiential.

She has more than 16 years experience in corporate communications, public relations, public affairs and marketing.

Most recently, she held senior roles at Mars Australia and New Zealand, and at FMCG company Kinrise. She previously co-founded Melbourne PR and marketing agency Modern Currency.

Sing said she would bring client-side understanding to the role.

"Havas Red has a clear point of view on the role of earned, a strong mix of clients and a collaborative culture that encourages integrated thinking and outcomes," she said.

"Having most recently worked client side, I can bring a level of strategic and commercial understanding of client expectations, operations and pressures and translate that into a stronger agency-client partnership."

Havas Red Australia CEO Shane Russell said the appointment signals the agency's ambition in the Victorian market.

"Melbourne is home to some of our largest and longest-standing client partnerships, and we're seeing strong demand for integrated, earned-first communications," Russell said.

"Erin's experience on both the agency and client side makes her the ideal leader to accelerate our ambitions and deepen our impact in market."

The agency's Melbourne office has grown to more than 20 staff over the past year.

Havas Red operates with 90-plus staff across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hobart. Melbourne clients include Toyota, Lexus, L'Oreal, Tangerine, Make-A-Wish and Village Roadshow.

Sing follows the appointment of Nicole Streete as executive director for Brisbane in October 2024.
