Hatched has been appointed by Key Pharmaceuticals as its full-service agency following a competitive pitch.

The appointment covers strategy, planning and buying, with the independent media agency to manage brand and retail campaigns across the full customer journey for Key’s consumer health products.

The company’s portfolio includes Blistex, TravaCalm and Ostevit-D.

Nick Boyden, director of marketing and innovation, Key Pharmaceuticals, said the Hatched team impressed in the pitch process.

“The strategic thinking and holistic approach they took during the pitch process exceeded our expectations, bringing fresh, out-of-the-box recommendations that have a real impact,” he said.

“The team’s energy, professionalism, and collaboration have made them a joy to work with.”

Founded in 1985, Key Pharmaceuticals has grown from a Sydney-based operation into a national business supplying over-the-counter products to the pharmacy and grocery sectors.

Danni Dimitri, managing partner and head of strategy, Hatched Sydney, the Key Pharmaceuticals team were a pleasure to be in the same room with.

“With so many exciting number one brands within their portfolio, there are endless opportunities to collaboratively work through," Dimitri said.

“We can’t wait to create ambitious, results-driven work with Nick and the team.”

Hatched opened its Sydney office three years ago and has a local client list that includes The GPT Group, Jack Links, Who Gives a Crap, Swaggle and Klook.
