Hamish & Andy clean up at ACRAs

Austereo's Hamish & Andy won Best On-Air Team at Saturday's Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs), marking the third year in a row the duo have won the award.

Melbourne's Derryn Hinch from 3AW was awarded Best Talk Presenter for the second year in a row, and was also inducted into Radio's Hall of Fame.

Broadcaster Ray Hadley won four awards for Best Current Affairs Commentator, Best Sports Presenter, Best Networked Program and Best Sports Event Coverage.

Meanwhile, Gus Worland from Sydney's Triple M won Best Newcomer; Triple M Sydney's Ugly Phil won Best Music Presenter; and Nova 96.9 Sydney's Kristy Warner and 2UE Sydney's Steve Blanda both won Best News Presenter.

Best New Digital Radio Format, a new category at this year's awards, was presented to DMG's Koffee and Austereo's Radar Radio.

Commercial Radio Australia chief executive Joan Warner said: "The standard of radio broadcasting in Australia is extremely high and the recipients of these awards continue to raise the bar each year in terms of achieving excellence, which is great news for millions of listeners throughout the country."
