E-learning provider Online Education Services (OES) has appointed Melbourne independent agency Half Dome as its media agency after a pitch, AdNews can reveal.

In November, AdNews reported the shortlist included incumbent Mediabrands, Havas Media and one other.

While industry insiders suggested the account was unlikely to move from the incumbent, a OES spokesperson confirmed the win to AdNews.

"OES has appointed independent media agency Half Dome to service its portfolio of diverse university partners. Half Dome and OES will commence working together from May," the spokesperson said.

Half Dome also confirmed the win with AdNews.

"Half Dome is delighted to have been appointed full-service media agency for OES. We look forward to working closely with their team to help drive the next phase of growth," the spokesperson said,

OES, owned by digital employment platform Seek and Australia’s Swinburne University, is essentially an online amalgamation offering courses from all the big universities on its global platform.

The account is said to be worth $35M.
