Gumtree Group has appointed Christie Taylor national auto and state advertising lead for NSW and QLD.
She will lead go-to-market strategy, revenue performance and client partnerships across the automotive category, reporting to director of national advertising Jessica Hunter.
“OEM advertising continues to be a high-growth area for us,” Hunter said.
“Christie’s appointment reflects our commitment to embedding true category experts into our commercial team; people who understand the nuance, relationships, and performance expectations of our clients.”
Taylor joins with more than 25 years of commercial and media leadership.
In her recent role at News Corp, she served as industry head of automotive and finance, and later acting head of key accounts for NSW.
Her work led to award-winning initiatives such as Future of Mobility, and she oversaw major partnerships with brands including Toyota, Audi, Mitsubishi and Isuzu.
Prior, Taylor led client solutions for brands such as Unilever, Woolworths, McDonald’s and Nestlé at Seven West Media.
“The automotive sector is evolving fast, and the brands that win will be those who combine data, creativity and deep category understanding,” Taylor said.
“The opportunity to lead this nationally at Gumtree Group across three iconic platforms is incredibly exciting.”
Her appointment is effective immediately.
