Tom Goodwin’s previous appearance at the ADMA Global Forum made a strong impression.

The Association for Data-Driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) has appointed futurist Tom Goodwin to its Advisory Committee, marking the first time an international member has joined the group.

The move follows the recent naming of veteran marketer David Morgan as chair and is part of ADMA’s effort to strengthen the committee’s focus on capability building, regulatory reform and leadership in marketing.

Goodwin, known for his direct commentary on digital transformation and marketing trends, will offer a global perspective to ADMA’s strategic direction.

“There are so many external forces threatening to ‘reshape marketing forever’ that it can be overwhelming for even the most experienced marketer to cut through the noise,” Goodwin said.

“But so often all these existential threats really are just distractions. What drew me to ADMA is its focus on helping marketers build capability for what’s coming next, not just reacting to change for the sake of it.

“To my mind it is genuinely one of the leading marketing industry bodies in the world.”

ADMA CEO Andrea Martens said Goodwin’s previous appearance at the ADMA Global Forum made a strong impression.

“Tom is one of the most provocative and forward-thinking voices in the industry, with his ability to challenge the status quo and focus on what the future holds for marketers,” Martens said.

“His keynote at ADMA Global Forum last year struck a powerful chord with delegates and we’re excited for him to bring that same energy and global insight to the Advisory Committee.”

Goodwin is scheduled to return as a keynote speaker at the 2025 ADMA Global Forum. The full composition of the Advisory Committee will be announced in the coming weeks.
