Martin Medcraf is departing Foxtel after 24 years.
The sales and brand partnerships director started at what was then MCN in 2001 as national sport sales director.
“I’ve decided it’s the right time for me to take a well-earned break,” he said.
“It’s been a fantastic journey across the years with too many people to mention, so to those that have been a part of my career at Foxtel both internally and externally, a big thank you.”
Foxtel Media CEO Mark Frain said Marty's contribution to the business, its people and the wider industry has been extraordinary.
“From pioneering innovation in sports media sales and integrated advertising, to driving our digital transformation, his impact has been both deep and lasting,” Frain said in an email to staff.
“He has witnessed all the changes at Foxtel over the years and never once missed a beat when it comes to delivering sports sponsorship outcomes.”
He said Marty had become a close friend to the Frain family.
“To the point, he was caddy for one of my son’s at the World Junior Golf Championship when they were both playing for Australia in the Under 10s.”
