Foxtel Group has expanded its partnership with Fortescue to upgrade 11,500 screens across 11 remote mining accommodation villages, delivering the full sport and entertainment lineup to more than 10,000 employees.

The multi-year agreement provides Fortescue workers with live sport including AFL, NRL, cricket, F1, golf and Supercars, on-demand content and Main Event programming covering UFC and boxing across both accommodation rooms and common areas, delivered via Foxtel's satellite network in up to 4K Ultra HD.

"Fortescue's very remote workforce will be the most connected and best entertained mining employees in Australia," said Steve O'Connor, managing director of Foxtel retail, wholesale and commercial at Foxtel Group.

Foxtel Business iQ now operates in more than 60,000 rooms across commercial properties nationally, including a growing number of remote mining accommodation sites.
