MarTech leader Acoustic appoints Michaela Aguilar as head of business partnership ecosystem.

Aguilar will be responsible for business development and expansion, working with partners and the Acoustic team to create new revenue opportunities in the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

Aguilar joins Acoustic from agency holding group Havas where she was head of customer experience and analytics, helping to integrate contemporary digital skills and processes within its media agency.

“With Aguilar, we not only get a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, but we also gain her strategic and unique ability to deliver genuinely innovative solutions for brands,” said Jeremy Smart, VP of sales, Asia Pacific and Japan at Acoustic.

Joining the digital and technology industry during its inception within the Australian business landscape, Aguilar has spent her 30 year career with organisations that have shaped the local digital market.

She was an early mover in the creation of websites using persona-based methodologies, which at the time, was the first approach taking the consumer into consideration when developing digital experiences.

Aguilar is now a well-known specialist in online churn analysis, customer retention, conversion optimisation and personalisation.

Aguilar also led a successful conversion rate optimisation (CRO) business, expanding it into Australia and positioning it as more attractive to potential buyers. Under her leadership, the business was sold to Havas.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Acoustic team at a time when digital customer experiences – and the partner relationships that support them – are more important than ever,” said Michaela Aguilar, head of business partnership ecosystem at Acoustic.

In addition to her extensive experience, Aguilar is also passionate about championing women in technology and education.

She has spent several years working with the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) as a tutor for the industry body’s digital marketing course.
