Film Lions Shortlist: Honda and Leos hoping for a dream run

Leo Burnett Melbourne's Dream Run campaign for Honda and 303Lowe's Captain Risky are among six campaigns named on the Cannes Film Lions shortlist.

Dream Run appears on the Cars, Other Vehicles, Auto Products & Services list while Captain Risky, the campaign and character created for insurance brand Budget Direct, is named on the Banking, Investment and Insurance list.

Other Australian campaigns named on the shortlist include Strings by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for Transport Accident Commission in the Public Health and Safety category and Take Over by DDB Melbourne for Devondale in the Non-Alcoholic Drinks category.

In the Retail Stores category, BMF is listed for its Shampoo and Doctor ads for Aldi Australia, while in Travel, Transport and Tourism, McCann Melbourne's Infrequent Flyers Club for TigerAir was listed.

The Aussies will be up against some big international campaigns including Widen+Kennedy Amsterdam's Heineken campaigns The City and The Match and Wieden+Kennedy New York's Young Gun work for Southern Comfort.

R/GA New York's Love Has No Labels work for AdCouncil also appears on the shortlist.
