What is Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) replaces the current version of Google Analytics (known as Universal Analytics). GA4 is more than an update: it's a new user-privacy and event-based approach to analytics that has changed the way we collect data, making it sharper, more actionable and customisable than ever before. GA4 enables marketers to maximise data tracking across apps and websites while still complying with data privacy laws.

Why should you make the switch?

Unfortunately, you don't have a choice. Universal Analytics will stop processing data on 1st July 2023 for free accounts, and 1st October 2023 for paid GA360 accounts.

GA4 is a new platform, with a new user interface, a new approach to data collection, measurement, reporting and includes new capabilities.

With less than 12 months before Universal Analytics stops collecting data, it's imperative that your teams are comfortable using the platform.

The course will cover the basics of GA4 and how to leverage the powerful analytics tools and reporting available in this platform.
