Facebook and Instagram new creative Reel tools

Meta announced a suite of new tools and features across both Instagram and Facebook platforms.

These updates will make creating, editing, and scheduling Reels easier, and content more discoverable by audiences.

On Facebook, suggested reels in feed, groups and watch will be rolled out, giving creators more ways to get discovered, extend reach and grow audiences globally.

Polls, quizzes and emoji stickers, first made popular by Instagram Stories, are now expanding to Instagram Reels. Creators have the option to recommend their reels on Facebook to expand the reach of their content.

“With Reels being our fastest-growing content format by far, empowering creators with these new tools and features can help them reach their full potential, providing more opportunities to get discovered and earn a living,” said Instagram.

New tools coming to Facebook Reels:

  • Create and schedule Facebook Reels on desktop through Creator Studio.
  • Video clipping tools, which will allow users to edit long-form videos into vertical-friendly, 60-second formats on Facebook Reels via Creator Studio.
  • New audio tools, to support voice overs for video content and automatically sync video clips to songs.

New tools coming to Instagram Reels

  • Extending the length of Instagram Reels up to 90 seconds.
  • Bringing Instagram Stories features to Reels: with poll, quiz and emoji stickers.
  • Import audio feature allows users to add commentary or background sound from any video that’s at least 5 seconds long.
  • Templates let you easily and quickly create your own reel using the same structure as a reel you've watched.
