Influencer marketing platform Fabulate has appointed Valerie Madon director of creative strategy for Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.

Based in Singapore, Madon joins from McCann Worldgroup, where she was chief creative officer, APAC. She has also held senior creative roles at Meta, VMLY&R and Havas Group, working with Mastercard, L'Oréal, Ferrero, HSBC, Zespri, Caltex and GSK.

Madon will lead Fabulate's creative strategy across the region, working with brands, agencies and platform partners on creator marketing strategies covering creativity, culture, technology and AI.

Fabulate chief product and strategy officer Nathan Powell said Madon had extensive experience across the region.

"Valerie is quite simply one of the most accomplished creative leaders in the region, and having someone of her calibre join Fabulate is an incredibly exciting moment for the business," he said.

Madon said creator marketing was becoming a more important part of how brands build relevance, culture and growth.

"What excites me about Fabulate is the chance to turn those endless possibilities into lasting impact, helping brands build long-term value through authentic connections and original ideas that continue to entertain audiences worldwide," she said.

At McCann Worldgroup, Madon worked on accounts including Mastercard and Ferrero and helped launch McCann Content Studios in Singapore and Thailand.

At VMLY&R, her work contributed to campaigns recognised with a Cannes Grand Prix, Innovation Lion, Glass Lion, multiple Gold Lions and a D&AD White Pencil.

The appointment follows Fabulate's hiring of former Meta, Disney and Yahoo executive Jon Kee as commercial director for Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.
