ESPN/Disney has claimed honours in the annual claiming first place in UnLtd's Big Kahuna surf event.

Eighty adland surfers paddled out at Manly Beach on Friday, a day dedicated to surfing for good, connection and fun in the sun.

The event, sponsored by The Trade Desk, the annual event brought together surfers of all levels for a surf tag competition, to raise funds for UnLtd's work supporting at-risk youth charities.

After a series of closely contested heats, six teams made it to the finals: Blobfish, ESPN/Disney, Seven, The Trade Desk, Val Morgan and WPP.

Nik Weber, director of advertising sales at ESPN/Disney in Australia and New Zealand, said it was an exceptional day in the surf and a privilege to be part of an event that combines friendly competition with genuine impact.

"The weather was amazing, everyone got stuck in no matter their experience level and the atmosphere on the beach made the win even more special," he said.

Onshore, the energy was just as vibrant. Attendees enjoyed fresh coconuts provided by The Trade Desk, DJ by ARN, wood-fired pizzas, MOOD iced tea, and a range of wellbeing experiences including tarot card readings and breathing exercises hosted by Pia Coyle from PHD.

James Bayes, vice president ANZ at The Trade Desk, said the company is proud to support Big Kahuna and the important work being done at UnLtd once again.

"It's a fantastic event that not only brings the industry together in a fun way but also contributes meaningfully to supporting youth at risk," he said.

"We're delighted to play a part in making it such a successful day and getting our industry into the water and out of their comfort zone."

UnLtd's next major event will take place in early 2026 with the Big Clash industry cricket tournament returning to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
