ENTER NOW: Emerging Leaders entries open

By AdNews | 29 April 2025

The AdNews Emerging Leaders Awards are back with entries open to all sectors of the media, marketing and advertising industry.

Emerging Leaders first launched as an editorial program on adnews.com.au, before expanding into a successful stand-alone event last year. With a double-digit growth in nominations, the event will return with Snapchat as presenting partner and Group M, MIQ, Perion and Pubmatic on board as supporting partners for 2025.

The awards are open to professionals with a minimum five years in the sector who are not currently working in a C-Suite or managing director role.

Entries open here today and close on May 30: enter or nominate someone in your team and be recognised as a top performer in the sector.

Emerging Leaders has recognised a number of professionals on their journey to the top including Saatchi & Saatchi Australia CCO Mandie van der Merwe and Havas CSO Mitchell Long. Last year, Howatson senior creative Charlotte Berry (pictured) was awarded the Grand Prix alongside leaders from network agencies, indies, media owners and adtech companies.

The awards will be staged as a cocktail function on August 27 at The Terrace, Melbourne. The ceremony will see 20 Emerging Leaders announced from a shortlist of finalists, with a Grand Prix handed to one professional for their outstanding industry achievement.

Snap Inc. ANZ MD Ryan Ferguson said the business is committed to nurturing rising stars.

“We're proud to support the AdNews Emerging Leaders program as Presenting Partner for 2025. Snapchat reaches more than 90% of Gen Z in Australia, and we're delighted to recognise exceptional emerging talent from this critically important cohort, as they shape the advertising and media industry of the future.”

AdNews publisher Assia Benmedjdoub welcomed support for the successful awards program.

“The team and I are incredibly excited to continue building our long-running editorial program into a fully-fledged event that recognises emerging leaders in our industry. It has never been a more important time to celebrate the talented professionals driving adland and their companies forward.”
