Ensemble, Mediabrands Australia's branded entertainment division, is on the hunt for a managing director to run a new office in Melbourne.

Twelve months after opening in Sydney, Ensemble founder Justin Ricketts told AdNews that the agency was recruiting for a Melbourne-based managing director and planned to have two to three staff working out of the office by the end of the year.

“We would like to replicate our success up here in Sydney down in Melbourne. The office will service existing Mediabrands clients including Bunnings, Loreal, Kmart, Target and office works," he said.

Ricketts expects the Melbourne office to have around 10 staff by the end of 2012, while the Sydney office will have 10 staff by 1 March and about 14 by the end of the year.

As part of its expansion in Sydney, the agency has appointed two UM members of staff to work at the Sydney Ensemble office; UM account manager for Panasonic and Microsoft, Michelle Kulbicki, and UM investment director, Sev Griffiths.

“Both are senior hires - Sev is working on all the major broadcast and sponsorship integration on clients including Bunnings, while Michelle will focus on a new cross media platform with Nine Entertainment Group which is yet to be launched.”
