EnergyAustralia campaign promises to not keep you waiting

You can stop checking your watch: EnergyAustralia is playing into the idea of repairmen not showing up for appointments with its “don't assume we'll be late campaign.”

It comes off the back of EnergyAustralia's Home Services launch in August, which provides end-to-end heating, cooling, hot water and solar system service.

EnergyAustralia is now promising to arrive within two hours of a customer's chosen time for all appointments and to have the installation of these home services completed within seven days of purchase; music to the ears of anyone who has waited all day for any kind of repairman or service technician in the past.

It is also promoting it's emergency repair service which will have someone at the door within two hours of a call any time and any day of the week.

To spread the word, EnergyAustralia has tied up with contestants of The Block seasons 1 and 6, Phil Rankine and Amity Dry, who were previouslyinvolved with EnergyAustralia's eWise campaign.

EnergyAustralia general manager of energy service and retail Michelle Monaghan said the positioning was significant as “they both know the importance of trusted tradies that turn up when they say they will.”

As part of the campaign, Phil and Amity will make an appearance at The Better Homes and Gardens Live show in Sydney on Saturday 20 September, from 12-3pm.

The campaign will run on radio, TV via advertorials on Ch 7’s The Morning Show, and Leader newspaper ads and advertorials from September.

It follows on from EnergyAustralia's Perfect Match campaign; a spoof of the game show which allowed customers to find their perfect energy plan.
