Georgie McCarthy & Imogen Wetzell Ramsey

Independent creative agency Emotive has appointed Georgie McCarthy associate creative director and Imogen Wetzell Ramsey senior art director.

The appointments come after recent new business wins including Google Pixel, North and El Jannah. The agency now works across more than 20 cross-category brands and reports an average client tenure of 4.7 years.

The pair join the Coogee-based agency's creative department, working alongside head of earned creative, Jessica Cluff, and chief creative officer, Gavin McLeod.

"We've been committed to shaping a team who think differently, are tapped into culture and can hustle without forsaking their craft. Georgie and Imo do that and more. They've already made a big impact, contributing to a major recent pitch win," said Cluff.

McCarthy said she couldn’t be more excited to join Emotive.

"They’re an incredibly talented bunch of people with an infectious drive to make great work," he said. "They’ve also promised us unlimited ice cream, which really sealed the deal.”

Ramsey said she is stoked to be joining Emotive full-time after freelancing with the team over the past six months.

"Getting to work alongside Georgie, who is an absolute gun, is a huge bonus," Ramsey said.

"Gav, Jess and the team are building something with genuine momentum, and I’m excited to get stuck in and see where we can take it.”
