The founders of Emotive have bought back ARN Media’s holding in the creative agency.

“Emotive is now fully independent,” said founder Simon Joyce who, with COO Ben Keep, is now the owner.

“In a world of media fragmentation, AI and brand apathy, full autonomy gives us the freedom to move faster, think longer term, and back what matters most, our people, our ideas, and the ambitions we share with our clients.”

Commercial details of the deal haven’t been released.

The then APN News & Media took a stake in Emotive about a decade ago.

“Emotive now partners with over 20 blue-chip brands across a wide range of categories, and we’ve built a big reputation for creating ideas that change how people feel,” said Joyce.

ARN Media is restructuring as part of a transformation program.

The company reported a 9% increase to $365.6 million in group revenue for the year to December. Digital audio grew 28%. ARN also has a three year Transformation Program to deliver $40 million in cost cutting.
