We look at our furry friends across the advertising, adtech, marketing and media sector, shedding a light on these stars and how they help adland get results. This month Paige Murphy speaks to BossDog, Archie, at digital marketing firm The Wired Agency in Manly.

How would you describe what the company does?
Type continuously, eat really yummy-looking food, and let strangers into the office even when I’ve almost scared them away with my ferocious bark.

What do you do day-to-day?
Mostly stare at my favourite ball until someone throws it. I also love a good cuddle or two.

Define your job in one word?
Protect, greet, fetch.

I got into digital marketing because?
It runs in the family.

Where do you turn for inspiration?
My high-bounce ball. It has taught me to always keep at it. As long as it’s rolling, I’m chasing.

Who is your right hand person/who guides you day to day?
Mum brings me into the office. I like to think everyone is my right-hand man. Pick up my poop hoomans!

Whose job have you set your sights on in the future?
I’m hoping to work in acquiring new business. I’m definitely the reason clients choose Wired!

My favourite advert is?
The new iPhone 11 ad. That is one fine pooch!

My best trick is?
My epic concentration. I will stare at my ball UNBROKEN until it moves, or I’m moved.

Tell us one thing people at work don’t know about you?
I come across tough but I’m really a big softie.

Time in current role/time at the company:
Two months.

How would you describe what the company does?
Indie media agency, trusted to deliver.

What do you do day-to-day?
Back-to-back greetings in the morning and intermittent barks all day.

Define your job in one word:
Revenue-critical. It’s hyphenated so it counts.

I got into media because:
The perks. I haven’t paid for lunch since.

Who is your right-hand person/who guides you day to day?
‘The / My Godmother’, Ella, our client exec.

Whose job have you set your sights on in the future?
My dad, Nick’s (CEO). There's not enough canine-representation in the C-suite.

Where do you turn for inspiration?
The fridge.

My favourite advert is:
Yalumba’s ‘Embrace the Magnificent Unknown’. Words to live by.

My best trick is:
The 'silent but deadly'.

Tell us one thing people at work don’t know about you?
I’m currently interviewing elsewhere. Working with family has its challenges. Also, I spewed in Ella’s bag an hour ago.

Time at the company?
Just over six months - I’ve finally passed my probation!

How would you describe what the company does?
They have lots of friendly visitors, spend a lot of time talking and writing on walls, and look very focused on their computers all day. I’d rather they spent more time playing with me.

What do you do day to day?
I’m on full time office guarding duties, you never know which delivery guys to trust. I also help out by checking the bins regularly to make sure they’ve been emptied.

Define your job in one word?
Delicious.

I got into advertising because?
Mum dragged me into it, I just ended up staying for the snacks and pats.

Who is your right hand person/who guides you day to day?
The scent of food and the ringing of the doorbell guides my day. Other than that, whatever mum says goes!

Whose job have you set your sights on in the future?
Everyone in charge of cooking our Monday morning meeting breakfast, so many yummy treats. Mmmmmm bacon.

Where do you turn for inspiration?
Under the feet of everyone in the office. Pats and belly rubs always get the creative juices flowing!

My favourite advert is?
Any of the Aussie lamb ads. I just wish I could smell the meat through the screen.

My best trick is?
I have an irresistible begging face - no one realises that I’m actually very well fed.

Tell us one thing people at work don’t know about you?
My favourite toy at home is Kevin the Koala. I’ve managed to rip off both of his eyeballs.
