Ooh!Media has launched what it is calling the “biggest and smartest” digital billboard in Queensland, right on Brisbane's Story Bridge.

The 190-square-metre billboard has the capability to carry targeted messaging using parting technology to make messages relevant to the time, date, news, events or weather.

Currently, the billboard is displaying good luck messages to the Socceroos as well as day parting messages including “Good morning Brisbane” and “Good afternoon Brisbane, drive safely”.

Early advertisers include Cbus, Echo Entertainment and the Liberal and National Party.

The billboard is the first of Ooh!Media's signature collection, which will be a network of premium digital billboards in famous locations including Adelaide's King William Street/Rundle Mall and Melbourne's Burke Street.

Ooh!Media CEO Brendon Cook said the OOH industry needs to work on educating clients on what new technology can offer.

“Through digital billboards and their capabilities, we’re creating innovative solutions for advertisers that add to the strength of traditional static big billboards and utilising the suite of capabilities that digital OOH now offers to build stronger engagement with Australians,” Cook said.

“While OOH once had fixed posting cycles, we are now able to give advertisers a dynamic and flexible solution that takes advantage of OOH’s ability to simultaneously reach a range of audiences across multiple environments and communities.”
