Dentsu has partnered with the University of Western Australia to offer an intern program.

Jim Groves, managing director Carat Perth, says the UWA dentsu Placement Program caters for UWA Marketing Department students.

The program was designed and run by client managers Geoff Langton and Lauren Overton who, working with dentsu specialists at Carat Perth, media partners, Seven West Media, Australian Radio Network, oOh! Media, Media Tonic, SBS, Val Morgan and MIQ, curated a multi-discipline and immersive program.

Daniel Schepis Senior Lecturer, UWA Business School: “We’re focused on providing career ready learning in core humanities and commerce programs, and our dentsu intern program allows our students to broaden the learning and skills
application base for our students through participative experiences in a live environment.”

After running a competitive entrance program for the opportunity to take two places offered in the initial program, Mae Wright Dolan and Peter Mathews were both offered places on the program.

Mae Wright Dolan: “To have the opportunity to practice my academic knowledge in a business environment and to be able to hear from senior industry partners quickly expedites my learning levels within marketing.”
