Former iSelect chief marketer Geraldine Davys will head to Holden as current director of marketing, as Bill Mott departs.

Holden announced the news today, saying Mott will depart in late 2015 to spend more time with his family in Europe.

Davys most recently served as marketing director at iSelect, overseeing the shift of media account from M2M to GroupM's Maxus Melbourne.

She also spent nine years with Sensis as the manager of brand, marketing, and digital communications.

GM Holden's interim chairman and managing director, Jeff Rolfs, said hiring outside of the automotive industry would add a fresh perspective to the brand.

“Geraldine’s experience across differing and diverse industries will bring fresh ideas and insights to Holden’s marketing and she will play a critical role in building a bright and successful future for our brand. We are extremely excited to welcome Geraldine on board,” Rolfs said.

Davys will begin with Holden on 20 April.
