David Jackson, who joined DDB Sydney in 2018 as creative director, has been appointed Tribal’s first Chief Strategy Officer.

Hewill lead Tribal’s creative offering, and partner with DDB Sydney executive creative director Matt Chandler on integrated campaigns for brands including Volkswagen, McDonald’s, Westpac, and Coles.

“Jacko and Tribal have been working in partnership for a while now, and his leadership and thinking has led some of our best work, so it makes complete sense to make him our first ever national ECD," Tribal Australia managing director Davy Rennie says.

Jackson says he's excited about the opportunity.

“Tribal has been my second home for a while now, and I love being able to work with the team of talented, curious and fun-loving people across DDB Group."

The appointment is effective immediately and follows the appointment of Colin Jowell in April as Tribal’s first chief strategy officer.
