Dairy brand restructures marketing division.

Fonterra has undergone a major restructure of its marketing department.

The dairy giant's marketing function is now headed up by Kiril Simonovski. Simonovski previously held marketing roles at National Food and Fosters.

The marketing division at Fonterra, which owns brands including Perfect Italiano, Bega cheese, Western Star and Ski yoghurt, is currently split into brand and category teams. It is not known if this set up will change as a result of the restructure.

AdNews understands there are a number of further appointments and role allocations to be made in the coming weeks.

It is not clear how many jobs have been cut but it is thought that a large portion of the company's marketing department were required to reapply for roles as part of the restructure.
