Independent creative agency Core has made a series of new hires – including a new creative team- off the back of several new business wins.

The agency has added creative partners, copywriter Anthony Ortuso and art director Jari Kennedy to its team, with the duo previously working at VCCP, New Republique and Circul8.

In addition, Core has hired account executive Lucy Almond from UK agency Bray Leino to work on its newly acquired QBE and Sydney Airport parking accounts.

It has also hired project manager Kristy Albers to help manage the agency’s workflow.

Core creative partner Christian Finucane said: “We're growing as an agency and we need talented people to help us manage that as well as delivering results for our clients.”

“Anthony and Jari are up-and-coming creative starts who demonstrated in our recent Sydney Airport pitch they can deliver attention-grabbing campaigns.

“Lucy and Kristy will bolster our account management team and ensure everything continues to run smoothly as we scale up.”

Core won the creative account for Sydney Airport parking in March of this year and won QBE in October 2014.
