CHE Proximity today announced the appointment of Jonny Berger as managing partner, moving from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

Berger, with almost 20 years of experience, joins the executive team in Sydney leading the Samsung account.

“I’m humbled to join the brilliant team at CHE Proximity and focus my energy on an account with the ambition, potential, integration and scale of Samsung," he says.

"There’s no other account like it in Australia and no other agency quite like CHEP. As ever, I stand on the shoulders of giants and look forward to helping forge the next chapter of both account and agency, propelled by all I’ve learnt more recently at Clemenger Melbourne."

Justin Hind, CEO at CHE Proximity: “Jonny is a key senior addition to the agency management team. He is world class in every respect and it’s great to see him stay within the Clemenger family. His impact internally and externally will help shape CHE Proximity further and we all couldn’t be more excited.”

At Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Berger was general manager and managing partner with a focus on the Carlton and United Breweries account.

Prior to joining Clemenger Melbourne in 2017, Berger was group head at M&C Saatchi Sydney and group business director at Droga5 Sydney, applying creativity to deliver tangible business results while building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

He’s worked with a variety of brands across categories, including Carlton and United Breweries, Optus, eBay, BBC Worldwide, Telstra, Woolworths, Foxtel, Orange and the Tate Galleries.
