Carsales has added a MyFeed Story feature to its video suite of solutions inspired by social media's popular video format.

MyFeed Story will help automotive brands to reach buyers in a "snapshot" and "bite-size" style.

Hyundai has already signed on to use the feature.

An algorithm developed by Carsales’ artificial intelligence team and data scientists will see iOS carsales mobile app users receive personalised MyFeed Story content based on their search behaviour and preferences.

Carsales visitors will be exposed to the most popular and trending content on site.

Carsales group general manager, product - OEM and media Lauren Smith says the new feature will add value to the buyers experience.

“In its very early stages, we’re thrilled to have Hyundai on board and excited to be providing automotive brands with an interactive format to reach in-market buyers and their target audiences," Smith says.

"These bite-sized content updates have become second nature to younger demographics and time-poor consumers. We’re excited to see how brands will leverage this new format to drive this style of consumer engagement in a contextual environment."

The feature is only available on iOS apps but Smith says there are plans to add to Android and mobile web.
